Quality Casual Video Games for the Whole Family

Just because you want to play a video game with the younger members of your family, that doesn't mean you have to suffer. Let's face it, there are a lot of really bad kid friendly casual video games. Nintendo seems to release a god awful third party game every other week.  But, there are fun, quality video games that are can entertain the avid gamer and the inexperienced one too.

Everyone knows about Wii Sports Resort. It's the game where grandma can kick your butt at  bowling. But there are other quality casual games the whole family will like to play. Uno is available for download on consoles. Tetris Party Deluxe is a neat spin on the puzzle game I still play too much. Lego Rock Band maybe a good choice for little rock stars.

Sex and Nudity in Video Games: What's the Big Deal?

Yeah, what is the big deal, cause I don't get it. R rated movies and even PG-13 movies have sex and/or nudity in them all the time and few people complain. But when it comes to video games, we all got to "think about the children". I'm not a child and just because I don't mind games with sex and nudity, that doesn't mean I'm some immature pervert.

But these two reasons are the driving force behind the outrage over sex in games.  One one hand, you have the idea that video games are still toys meant for only kids. This is usually spewed by people who don't play games or have much to do with them. The other reason, the immature one, is an idea shared by some gamers who feel because they are adults, they are too mature to look at the occasional set of  digital boobs.  Why can't we treat games the same as movies or TV? They are all  rated and as forms of entertainment, they should be treated equally.

Exclusive Wii Video Games Releasing in Time for Christmas

With all the news about Xbox 360's Kinect and PS3's Move, let's not forget about the Wii. At this year's E3, Nintendo announced some highly sought after sequels to popular titles.  I literally jumped up and down over Donkey Kong, yeah I really did. Why? Because I have fond memories of DK Country on the N64. I'm beyond excited that a new Donkey Kong will be released by Christmas 2010.

Also, Kirby finally gets a long overdue game with Kirby's Epic Yarn. The fabric texture world of the game looks amazing. Another Nintendo game that fans have been waiting an update of, GoldenEye, will be released this Christmas as well. So don't count the Wii out yet. There are great exclusives coming out soon. It's not Zelda, but I'll take what I can get. :)
